Palmwag General

A gem in the north-west of Namibia is located on the Uniab River in Damaraland. Treat yourself at the thatched pool bar that is under the canopy of palm trees close to the pool. Here you will be served meals and drinks whether you are a staying in the accommodation or a camping. Amenities like a pool, fully licensed bar, restaurant and secure parking can be found here. Palmwag Lodge is deemed one of Namibia’s oldest and well-liked holiday destinations in this fascination semi-desert area of Kaokoland and is home to a wide range of wildlife like the black rhino, giraffe, zebra, gemsbok. You might also be luck to spot lions, cheetah, leopard, brown and spotted hyena. For the bird watchers, there is a lot of bird activity and good opportunities for photographers. This is a wonderful place to create memories of a great holiday.

The Location

GPS: 19° 53´ 59"S 13° 56´ 13"E. The Lodge lies between the Skeleton Coast and Kaokoland. From the South, follow the road where the C39 road from Khorixas forks into the C43 road and it will take you all the way to Palmwag Lodge.

Accommodation

You have a choice of Standard Twin Rooms, Comfort Twin Rooms or Family Rooms. The units have the same amenities except that the Family rooms can accommodate between four to six persons. At any given time, 62 guests can be accommodated.

Activities

A full day Damaraland wildlife excursion, morning/afternoon guided walks, scenic drives, guided hiking, afternoon game and scenic drives that include a sundowner are all available to keep you busy. Please allow us to assist with your bookings for activities as some of the activities should be booked in advance.
